Working with mental health charity, Second Step, we created a campaign targeting men aged 30-64 who may be struggling and need of some support, and who are quite difficult to reach.
With feedback from colleagues in the constuction inustry, we designed these beermats – mostly for pubs but also as a givaway at trade construction counters.
The statistics on male suicide are shocking – we hope this work will help publicise the Hope Project who may be able to help.
Almost half the adults who have never been online live in social housing – so for housing associations like United Communities and Solon a printed newsletter is a much more effective way of communicating with it's tenants than digital communications.
Working with editor, Kate Targett, we've redesigned the tenant newsletters for these two organisations.
A more 'magazine-like' approach, with energy and fun elements alongside key information and serious topics, increases reader appeal and engagement.
Staff feedback has been fantastic and are great examples of how Housing Associations can demonstrate effective engagement with their residents.
"We are so pleased with it – nothing but praise from folks in the office. Our CEO is over the moon, another experienced colleague said it’s the best resident publication she’s ever seen!"
We've been hooked on watching 'School', the new series on BBC2, about the day-to-day challenges of running a school in 2018.
A couple of years ago we had the priviledge of working with two of the programme's 'stars', David Spence and Will Roberts.
We re-branded schools in the Trust, including Downend School and Mangotsfield, everything from the signage to the uniforms – check out our horizontally striped ties – more unusual than you'd imagine! – and tune in or catch-up on iplayer – they do an amazing job.
We've been working closely with medical staff from the Intensive Care Unit at Southmead Hospital.
From an initial conversation about the need to brighten up corridors we developed an integrated set of graphics, from leaflets to wall art, that will orientate, inform and engage.
Improvements aim to improve visitor experience. Clear signage and simple explanations with 'non clinical' images all aim to reduce anxiety at what can be a difficult time.
Finally had our 'summer hol' in October: Miami and Florida Keys. Wow! Miami is the most astonishing place for it's colour and vibrancy. We also made a special trip to Key West Pottery and met Adam, the owner/maker. His work is such an inspiration to Gill – and it was even more amazing in the flesh!
After a little while in development – building a subscription process that you can pause at any time is a complicated bit of coding – our devloper, Dan, has the patience of a saint! – the TwoDay Coffee Roasters new site is live. All built from scratch in Umbraco, with a really clear CMS. To keep on-brand, Adrian developed lots of bespoke illustrations which really add to the process of ordering. Never run out of your favourite coffee again:
Planet Pizza continues to flourish since we re-branded and re-postioned them last year - nothing to do with the great food obvs! Our latest project for them is this simple website, capturing the atmosphere, making booking easy and encouraging foot-fall.
